This website is primarily devoted to the photography of Charles Schafer, an adventure/travel/landscape photographer. Charles has been taking photographs of the outdoors, and of his travels to exotic lands, for over twenty years. In doing so he has built up an extensive collection of stock photos suitable for a wide variety of commercial uses. He also has captured a number of fine art images suitable for mounting and framing.

To view a sampling of stock photographs, go to the Stock Photos section of the site. Likewise, the Fine Art Gallery has a sampling of the images that are more suitable for printing and framing. To see a more extensive bio of Charles, refer to the About Charles Schafer tab.

Since Charles' activities revolve around the worlds of adventure and travel we also wanted this site to reflect some of that orientation. Towards that end we have put in some Links to other organizations that share this orientation or that serve to help protect and preserve the outdoors. Charles also has taken a number of climbing trips with the Peak Climbing Section (PCS), an activity section within the Sierra Club, and some of the photographs taken during those trips will have links to trip reports written about the climbs.
